Since 2009, we have provided thousands of dogs and cats with a second chance at a happy ending.
The mission of Desert Paws Rescue is to provide a new beginning for unwanted dogs and cats who might otherwise be euthanized. We provide safe and loving foster environments with the goal of placing our animals in new forever homes.
Cats and dogs are often placed on the Euthanasia list at our local shelters because of acute illness or behavior. We pride ourselves on the rescue of these types of animals so that we can provide them with necessary medical attention and a second chance at long and healthy lives.
Desert Paws also takes pride in rescuing many FIV and FeLV positive cats that might otherwise be euthanized due to their condition.
Our home state has one of the highest homeless pet populations in the country! We strive to inform and educate our community about the importance of spay and neuter and the value of commitment to a healthy-pet-lifestyle. These values must be prioritized in order for our community to reduce our homeless pet population and reduce unnecessary euthanization of otherwise adoptable pets.
If you are interested in having Desert Paws representatives speak to your school or community group about the importance of Spay & Neuter or feral cat Trap-Neuter-Return (“TNR”) please reach out to us through our Contact page!
