Freeway was rescued in August of 2017 by a good samaritan who saved him from trying to cross the Superstition Freeway (hence the name). He was fairly shy, and understandably skiddish, when he first came to Desert Paws and would spend the majority of adoption events hiding under his bed. We were never able to break Freeway from his shyness, and even know, he is only comfortable being pet by a few select people. We realize that these are not necessarily traits that appeal to a potential adopter, but that's OK because Freeway gets along fine with his foster-sibs, and we are happy to give him a peaceful and safe place to spend his years.
