Fenic came to Desert Paws as a kitten in May of 2015. We suspected that Fenic would need some strong socializing to break her away from the feral characteristics that she was displaying. Unfortunately, Fenic was never able to get comfortable enough around new people and she would hiss and run away when approached. By this time she had gotten comfortable in a home environment, so we didn't think it was safe to release her back into an unfamiliar neighborhood. Fenic gets along very well with the other sanctuary residents, and will eventually come around for affection when she is ready, but we understand that these aren't necessarily traits that a new adopter is looking for and that's OK because we are happy to give Fenic a safe and comfortable place for her to live our her life.
