Bandit is a 2 year old male austrailian sheperd/boxer mix.  He is used to being around his sister, Cleo and he gets along with other dogs.  Since he has lived most of his life outside, he likes to chase cats so a home without cats would be ideal.  Although he could use a little bit of obedience training, he is an all around great dog.  Please call Wes at 480-235-2406 if you are interested in giving Bandit or Cleo a great home.  Bandit is fixed and is current on his shots.

This is a COURTESY posting only.  Bandit is NOT up for adoption through Desert Paws and the above listed foster has no relation with Desert Paws Rescue.

Brando was a sweet orange tabby and white kitten born in early August 2012. He loved to run and play with his toys and his feline friends - young and old. He even liked the 3 large cat-friendly dogs in his foster home. He purred like crazy all the time and loved to be snuggled. It's such a shame his life was so short

Castiel was a super friendly senior seal point Siamese mix kitty who showed up at a feral feeding station looking for food after someone apparently abandoned him.  It was obvious right away to the caretaker that he did not belong there so she asked Desert Paws Rescue to find him a home.  Though Castiel didn't find his forever home, probably due to his age, he was very happy at his foster home where all the other kitties, dogs and people adored him, and miss him very much.

Chino was a rescue dog that I adopted back in 1996.  He was just an all around incredible dog and has been like a pseudo child to me for over 16 years.  Having been involved in rescue for the last 11 years, Chino has been the best foster brother a rescue dog could ever ask for.  He welcomed more foster dogs than one could count, into his heart and home.  He was always a wise soul and knew what each dog needed – whether it be confidence, teach them how to use a doggie door, to learn how to play with toys, to know that humans are ok, or even if they needed some doggie corrections.  Chino has helped so many rescue dogs – one could never even know the impact he has made.  In March of 2012, we had to put Chino down to be fair to him.  It’s been the hardest thing we’ve ever done.  The two girls of his pack, Kaiya and Deja, layed nose to nose to him as he went gently to sleep.  We are lost without him.  Godspeed my sweet Chino boy – you were loved by SO many and my heart is broken without you.  Susan Gillin

Fergus was a handsome little black and white Polydactyl (extra toes) kitty born on March 11, 2012.  He was very playful and affectionate and loved to play with his brother Fritz.  Fergus went in for a routine medical procedure and passed away from complications.  He was dearly loved by his foster family and his passing has left an empty place in their hearts.  We miss you Fergie.

Fez was an adorable 3 year old Siamese mix cat that came to Desert Paws Rescue on August 1, 2011.  He was a large cat but weighed only 8 pounds because he suffered from inflammatory bowel disease.  Fez loved being around his people and would snuggle up and purr at every opportunity.  Although we managed to get his weight up to almost 12 pounds, he passed away on November 16th.  He is gone from our lives but will never be gone from our hearts.  We miss you Fez!

Gator was a darling little orange and white kitten born in mid March 2013.   He was such a friendly little guy that loved to play with his feline friends, hang out with his canine friends, and snuggle with his human friends.  It broke our hearts to learn that he had FIP, a rare and incurable disease.  His foster family (animal and human) and all who knew him will miss him very much.
Gender: Male

Louie was a cute little black and white kitten born on March 19 that passed away on May 13.   He was a very sweet, playful and friendly boy that unfortunately was overcome by an illness that was too big for him to handle.  Louie's life was short but he knew he was loved every day.

Recon Andy
Recon Andy, a combination of names given to him by his adopted family, Recon, and Andy, the name given to him by his Desert Paws Rescue foster mom, was born on Valentine’s Day 2011.  He loved to snuggle up with Alan, his adopted parent, and would curl up on his chest and sleep for hours.  He passed away in October, 2014 from heart failure.  Though he has gone from our lives, he will live on in our hearts.  He will be missed.
