Tigger

My name is Tigger (I'm the Brindle).  I am a 3 month old Pit Bull Mix.  Me and my sister Jasmine were found at an abandoned house when we were five weeks old.  I'm not sure how long we were out there but it was really scary.  We were so happy when we found out we had a foster mom that would take care of us.  I am very outgoing and love to cuddle.  When I'm not cuddling I'm playing.  I am still a puppy so I have a lot of energy.  I am current on all my shots, neutered and microchipped.  If you are interested please email desertpawsdogs@aol.com.

Tia, Mitzy, Freckles, Kayla-ADOPTED
Wow, what a great family!  They decided to adopt not one, not two, not three, but FOUR cats from Desert Paws.  How AWESOME is that!  We couldn't have asked for a better home for these 4 kitties!

TIA HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!

These adorable girls are Tia and Peanut.  They were found all alone in the desert in an area where they were truly in danger of coyotes, as the area is filled with them.  We do not know where their mom was or if there were any other siblings.  Luckily they were saved by two dog lovers and taken to safety.  At first, they did not even know what dog food was and only wanted table scraps.  Most likely they were born as strays and not brought up in a home environment.  In the beginning they were very scared, did not act like normal puppies and they even slept for two days straight.  With love and attention these two have truly blossomed and are now happy-go-lucky , bouncy, playful, loving puppies!

Thor-ADOPTED
Thor is a cute 12 week old kitten.  He is very outgoing and loves to play with his siblings.  He is neutered, vaccinated, tested for feline leukemia/FIV, and microchipped.  He is ready for adoption and will be at the Queen Creek Petco on Saturday for adoption.

the Situation
This cutie is the Situation, he was born on January 5th and is a mixed breed puppy.  Momma dog Sierra was rescued from the pound on January 4th and the VERY next day she gave birth to ELEVEN beautiful puppies in her foster home.  There are nine boys and 2 girls.  We believe Sierra (momma) is a Bloodhound mix, however, we have no idea who daddy dog/or dogs were.  Some of the puppies even have short little legs similar to that of a Basset Hound! This picture was taken at 5 1/2 weeks of age.

tessa2.jpg
Tessa - Special Needs Kitten

Tessa is a very cute short haired tabby mix kitten with personality plus!  Soda is a talker.  If you ask her a question, she’ll give you and answer, though she’s a little hard to understand if you don’t speak Meowese!  She is very affectionate and loves to be kissed on the top of her head.  To go along with her normal diet, Tessa has developed a taste for goldfish crackers, which I think she likes better than the real thing!

She has been fostered great in a home with kids and is used to getting lots of attention form the kids.  She enjoys being petted and is always ready for a little human interaction and attention.

Tessa tested “low positive” for the feline leukemia virus (FeLV) and will be retested in a few weeks.  We hope she will retest negative.  This adorable and energetic kitten can be adopted into a home with other FeLV positive cats or dogs (Feline leukemia is a “species specific” disease and cannot be transmitted to people or dogs).  She can also be adopted with one of his siblings (Soda, Rex, or Ugene) who also tested “low positive” for FeLV.  Won't you give this affectionate little girl and maybe one of her siblings the chance to be part of your family?

Tessa has already been neutered, has tested “low positive” for FELV (feline leukemia) and negative for FIV (feline immune virus), has an identification micro-chip, and is current on her vaccinations.  If you are interested in giving Tessa and possibly one of his siblings their forever home, please fill out the cat consultation form (on the website www.desertpawsrescue.org) or email hadleyd@cox.net.
