Artie is a darling little guy, a cute 9 month kitten with a very bushy tail, and lots of spunk and love...just waiting for the family that can really appreciate all the laughs and warm fuzzys he has to offer. Artie is really anxious to find his forever home. He loves people and is super sweet and affectionate. Artie purrs loudly when you hold him...but at some point he has to get out there an entertain again. He will chase his tail to make you laugh. Artie gets along great with other cats and hopes to be adopted with his buddy Tibbs so he has someone to play with. He loves other cats, and makes friends easily. He is neutered, vaccinated, tested for feline leukemia/FIV, microchipped, and comes with 30 days of pet insurance. Please email cats@desertpawsrescue.org to adopt Artie!
Artista is the most beautiful cat we have ever seen. Her name actually means "magnificent" in Greek because she is so pretty. She was dumped at a Jack in the Box with her 6 kittens all jammed inside a small carrier. They were all well cared for and healthy, but her previous owner didn't want her anymore. They must not have known that abandoning an animal is a crime here in Arizona.
Anyway, she has been a great mom and she is now ready to settle into a nice home for early retirement from motherhood. She has been spayed, vaccinated, tested for feline leukemia/FIV, and microchipped. Please email azcatrescue@yahoo.com to adopt this lovely lady.
Ashley is a super sweet Maine Coon mix kitty, about a year old (her birthday is probably July 2010), who is as loving as she is beautiful. She came to Desert Paws Rescue as a very petite 6-month-old and we couldn’t believe she was pregnant! She gave birth to a litter of 6 adorable kittens 3 weeks later, on Valentine’s Day. Ashley is happy to sit on your lap as long as you want her to, purring quietly, and will sleep on your bed. She just wants to be near you and will follow you from room to room. She was comfortable immediately in her foster home, and gets along great with all the resident cats/kittens and dogs. She likes to be brushed and doesn’t mind getting her nails clipped. She’s playful (likes catnip!) and is very good about stretching and scratching in the appropriate places – a carpeted cat tree and a horizontal cardboard scratcher. If you’re looking for an easy-going, extremely friendly, all-around wonderful kitty companion who will love to keep you company, Ashley is the girl for you. She has already been spayed, has tested negative for FELV and FIV (feline immune virus), has an identification micro-chip, and is current on her vaccinations. If you are interested in giving Ashley her forever home, please fill out the cat consultation form (on the website www.desertpawsrescue.org) or email hadleyd@cox.net.

Athena is a great girl that is looking for a family to call her own. If you are interested in Athena, please email her foster mom at desertpawsdogs@aol.com
Atticus (birthday Valentine’s Day 2011) is a super-sweet male gray tabby with a white chest and boots. He was born in his foster’s home so he’s had lots and lots of human attention since birth. He purrs the instant he sees you and doesn’t stop until he falls asleep in your arms or on your lap – after plenty of playtime, that is! He’s a curious kitten with the energy of a Jack Russell Terrier – everything and everybody he sees is exciting and he wants to investigate and play, but he’s also very gentle and well-behaved. Life is just a big party to him! He gets along great with all the cats/kittens in his foster home and loves the cat-friendly dogs. He is allowed access to the entire house, and has never had an accident. He’s very good about scratching in the appropriate places (carpeted cat tree with sisal rope, cardboard scratchers) and sits very still when his nails are being trimmed. Atticus is a totally delightful little guy – his new family will be lucky to have him. He would love to be adopted with his brother Andy – two kittens are twice as much fun and twice as entertaining! He has already been neutered, has tested negative for FELV and FIV (feline immune virus), has an identification micro-chip, and is current on his vaccinations. If you are interested in adopting Atticus, please fill out the cat consultation form (on the website www.desertpawsrescue.org) or email hadleyd@cox.net.

August (also known as Augie or Smudge) is a 3 month old orange and white kitten. He and his sister, April, are very attached to one another so we would like for them to be adopted together. Both Augie and April are very active, playful and affectionate kittens. They are both happy and healthy and will make great addition to any family. They get along with other cats, they have been neutered and spayed, tested for FELV and FIV, microchipped, and they are current on their vaccinations.
