Macy Grace

Hi my name is Macy Grace. My previous owners left me at Petco and Desert Paws took me in.  I am currently looking for a forever home where I will get lots of attention.  My foster mom absolutely thinks I am the cats meow - I'm not sure if that is a good thing :)

So far I get along with everyone I meet.  Dogs, children etc.  If you are interested in hearing more about me please email desertpawsdogs@aol.com for more information.

Maddie Formerly Known as Potcakes
We went to Petco to buy a ferret. When we got there they were adopting small dogs and right between to pens of small yapping dogs was a larger Austrian Shepard asleep. She slept through the dogs yapping, kids running around and noise. I knew in my heart that the ferret was a distant memory and that this was the dog for us. She was named Potcakes.
We have only found one other time a dog that was so calm and loyal. We adopted her and took her home. She was the cutest puppy that we have ever seen besides our first dog, Saedy. She is so good. She never eats anything that doesn't belong to her. Although, boxes in the garage are her favorite things to chew. Empty boxes that is. She is not a distructive dog. She does not chew up sprinklers or dig holes.
We wanted her as a companion to our other older dog and for us but even though they are friends she is more attached to my daughter with special needs. She absolutely loves her and myself. She is very protective of her and lays in her room when I am not home. Always watching, and never eats one stuffed animal. She is the best puppy that we have ever had, besides Saedy and We love them both.
Potcakes is now known as Maddie. She has found her forever home and we will never give her up.
Maddie loves to look for bugs in the back yard. If she gets out of the house all you have to do is yell "BUG" and she comes right back. She is a wonderful dog and we love her very much.

Madonna
Madonna-ADOPTED

Madonna is a super cute 1 year old kitty.  She wandered into an
office at an industrial park near 20th avenue and Grand in Phoenix and they called Desert Paws.  She was extremely pregnant and needing a safe place to go.   Madonna has an awesome foster dad that has made a blog site so you can view her progress and see how the kittens are developing.  Check it out for more info on Madonna.  http://www.fosterkitty.com/  Her kittens all have homes lined up, but she is still patiently awaiting hers!

Oh forgot to mention she LOVES tummy rubs :)

Maggie
Maggie is a petite, shiny black kitten with soft, thick fur and goldish-green eyes.  She was born in May 2011.  She’s very adventurous and loves to explore (Maggie is short for Magellan); she was the first of her litter to inspect every square inch of her foster home.  She gets along great with the other cats/kittens at her foster home (is usually snuggling with one or more of them), and also the resident large dogs.  She’s very friendly and loves attention.  If you’re sitting down, she’s in your lap, purring all the while.  When she’s not relaxing, she’s busy chasing a buddy (or being chased) up and down the cat tree or through the crinkly tunnel.  She also loves playing with the turbo-scratcher.  Maggie is very well-behaved regarding the litter box, scratching on appropriate surfaces (cardboard scratchers, sisal rope, carpeted cat tree) and even sits still when getting her nails clipped.  She’s an all-around great kitty that will be a cherished addition to a lucky family.  She has already been spayed, has tested negative for FELV and FIV (feline immune virus), has an identification micro-chip, and is current on her vaccinations.  If you are interested in adopting her, please fill out the cat consultation form (on the website www.desertpawsrescue.org) or email hadleyd@cox.net.

MaiTai2a.jpg
Mai Tai
Mai Tai (DOB: 07/10/2010) is a female tortie calico kitten. She is a very playful and affectionate little girl who likes to be held and given lots of attention. We call her a little shoulder kitty because she likes to perch up on your shoulder and nestle in your hair.  She’s the adventurous kitty of the litter.  When you call her name she’ll come running to you. MaiTai came to us with her littermates (Cody, Rascal and Scarlet), when she was three weeks old, after she lost her mother to a coyote.  All of these kittens have been around other cats and a dog and they do well.  They especially like our Dalmatian who they follow around to rub and love on him.  Mai Tai has already been spayed, has tested negative for FELV and FIV (feline immune virus), has an identification micro-chip, and is current on her vaccinations.  If you are interested in giving Mai Tai her forever home, please fill out the cat consultation form (on the website www.desertpawsrescue.org) or email hadleyd@cox.net.
