Hank is such a cute little guy with the softest rabbit-like white fur and a gray spot on his head. He was born in September 2010. Notice his really long whiskers and the tufts in his ears. (He may be a Turkish Van mix.) He’s quite petite and wouldn’t you know he likes to hang out with the largest cat (Tanner on the website) or largest dog in his foster home (when he’s not playing with the other kittens, that is). When his foster mom sits down to watch TV, Hank is right there, purring and loving the attention. Hank has been trained since 4 weeks of age to use the proper scratching surfaces and he’s very obedient about that and about using the litter box. He even gets his nails trimmed without a complaint! He’s a great little kitten who’s fun and easy to have around. He would fit in well in a home with kids, another cat(s) and/or cat-friendly dog(s). Due to his age, we wouldn’t want him to be alone too much of the time. Hank has tested negative for FeLV and FIV, has been neutered, has an identification micro-chip, and is current on vaccines. If you think Hank is the kitty for you, please fill out a Cat Adoption Consultation Form online or email tomdru1422@yahoo.com.

Hemmingway is an absolutely adorable orange and white tabby kitten with the cutest little white ear tips. He’s also the first one at the food dish when the canned food comes out. He’s a typical rough-and-tumble kitten, but he has a sweet side too. He loves to be held (when other activities or food are not beckoning) and will purr, purr, purr with contentment. He will chase balls and play forever with a wand toy if you are at the other end of it. He also loves rolling and romping with his four brothers. He’s very good about stretching and scratching where appropriate. He uses a carpeted cat tree, a sisal rope scratching post, and his favorite – a turbo scratcher with the cardboard in the middle. He’s a great little guy with lots of personality. Hemmingway has already been neutered, has tested negative for FELV and FIV (feline immune virus), has an identification micro-chip, and is current on his vaccinations. Hobie Cat is an adorable cute orange tabby with white markings. He’s practically identical to his brother Higgens. They look like twins! He is a very sweet kitty and was the first in the litter to purr. He’s very playful, yet happy to be held and snuggled. He’s had lots of interaction with people of all ages and other cats of all ages. His siblings are Henry, Higgens, Harvey and Hemmingway and he’d love to find his forever home with one of them – young kittens should not be left alone for long periods of time. Besides, two kittens playing is the best entertainment around! Hobie has already been neutered, has tested negative for FELV and FIV (feline immune virus), has an identification micro-chip, and is current on his vaccinations. If you are interested in giving Hobie (or his brothers) their forever home, please fill out the cat consultation form (on the website www.desertpawsrescue.org) or email hadleyd@cox.net.

This adorable girl is Honey – isn’t she beautiful! We believe Honey to Black Mouth Cur Dog mix. You can read more about this breed at www.blackmouthcur.com Honey is right around three years old. Honey was originally found as a stray off of the Beeline Highway in Payson. A few days after being found, she gave birth to eight precious puppies! This was way too much to handle for the person that found her, so poor Honey and her babies were taken to the Payson Humane Society. Desert Paws Rescue received word that all the kennels were full up north and they were asking for rescues to help out by taking in any dogs that they could. So, we packed up the truck and rescued Honey and her puppies!
