Wolfgang.JPG
Wolfgang

Wolfgang is a sweet Black Smoke Maine Coon mix kitty born in late July 2011. He appears black but his roots and underside of his tail are smoky grey; you really can't tell until you turn him over or separate his fur.  Since he has long hair he will benefit from being brushed regularly.

Wolfgang doesn't mind being held and carried or being on his back. He is getting used to having his nails trimmed and being groomed. He loves playing with other cats and is fine with cat-friendly dogs with proper introductions. Wolfgang loves to play with dangling toys and laser lights and is good about using vertical scratching posts and towers.

He came from a hoarding situation where his tail was broken but not taken care of so it healed at an angle. It does not bother him, and the only care given is when you brush his tail. He also will start sneezing if in a draft from a fan for long.

When he comes to you he will curl up on your chest under your chin or in your lap. He has a little goatee under his chin and loves to throw back his head and have you scratch it.  Wolfgang meows mostly only when he's in a carrier or about to be fed; other than that when you talk to him, he makes a short low purr noise. It's cute!

Wolfgang has already been neutered, has tested negative for FELV and FIV (feline immune virus), has an identification micro-chip, and is current on his vaccinations.  If you are interested in giving Wolfgang his forever home, please fill out the cat consultation form (on the website www.desertpawsrescue.org) or email hadleyd@cox.net.
