Duke
Type: Success Stories
This adorable boy with the big brown soulful eyes is Duke. Duke is a perfect gentleman and really can be described as an all-around great family dog! We believe his first few years of life weren’t so nice. Duke was most likely an outdoor dog and must have been so miserable he even started chewing on rocks. To this day you can even see how a few of his front teeth are worn down from the boredom he incurred. The vet has said though it is not an issue and doesn’t affect him at all. As if this wasn’t bad enough, he ended up at the county shelter and was rescued on his last day of life. He is SO grateful for his second chance and is loving life as an indoor dog, spending his time chilling with people in the cool air conditioning. Duke is a Rottweiler and Boxer mix with a docked tail, he’s approximately 4 yrs old and he’s a decent size boy that weighs @ 70 pounds or so.

Carlos & Kink
Type: Adoptable Cats
Carlo (with pink nose) and Kink (black nose) are two very handsome white and grey tabby male kittens.  Kink has a kink at the end of his tail which is how he got his name.  These siblings were orphan kittens that came to us when they were only a few days old.  They were bottle feeders which means they had to be hand fed every two hours for the first few weeks.  The best thing about bottle fed kittens is that they form a very strong bond with people and they make the best pets.  They are very playful, affectionate and love attention.  They are also very bonded to each other and we are hoping that they can be adopted together.   Carlos and Kink have already been neutered, have tested negative for FELV and FIV (feline immune virus), have identification micro-chips, and are current on their vaccinations.  If you are interested in giving them their forever homes, please fill out the cat consultation form (on the website www.desertpawsrescue.org) or email hadleyd@cox.net.

Pocket
Type: Adoptable Dogs
My name is Pocket. I am a very shy little boy. I came from a family with my sister TK. Our old family lost their house and had to move and could not take either one of us with them. This made me very sad. My sister TK is very outgoing, but I need more time and trust to feel comfortable with you. If you are interested in meeting me please email  desertpawsdogs@aol.com

AlijandroChainsaw1.jpg
Alejandro & Chainsaw
Type: Adoptable Cats
Alejandro and Chainsaw are 8 week old male and female tabby kitten.  They were living with their feral mother at a business where they were trapped and brought to us.  Alejandro is a white, black and tan male, he is very friendly and loves to sit on your lap and be petted.  Chainsaw is still worried about what people have on their mind.  Her first instinct is to run, but she has come a long way.  She still needs some convincing that people are okay, but with help from her brother and a patient person, she will get there.  This brother and sister need to be adopted together.  They play together, sleep together and are great companions.  They have already been spayed and neutered, have tested negative for FELV and FIV (feline immune virus), have identification micro-chips, and is current on their vaccinations. If you are interested in giving Chainsaw and Alijandro their forever home, please fill out the cat consultation form (on the website www.desertpawsrescue.org) or email hadleyd@cox.net.

tippy.JPG
Tippy- ADOPTED
Type: Success Stories

Tippy is a 5 month old grey tabby who about 4 weeks ago had a terrible accident. Tippy became stuck in chair and broke her tibia on her rear left leg, and it became severely infected. Once it became infected, there was no way of saving it and her leg had to be amputated at the hip.  Tippy is very sweet and needs a loving home, she is great with dogs and other cats.  Tippy is great about using the litter box and gets around well despite only having 3 legs.  She would make a great addition to any good home.

Tippy has been fixed, vaccinated, tested for feline leukemia/FIV and microchipped.

Kiva
Kiva
Type: Adoptable Dogs

Hi my name is Kiva.  I am 1 1/2 year  old male Lab mix.  I am a very sweet fun loving dog who would benefit from some training.  I was found as a stray so my manners weren't the best but my foster mom is working with me.  I love to play with other dogs but I do play pretty rough.  I am kennel trained as I have been known to chew on things that I shouldn't.   I am housebroken and know how to use a dog door.  I have been neutered, am current on all my shots and I am microchipped.  I am good around other dogs, older children and tend to like women best.  If interested in me please email desertpawsdogs@aol.com

He is neutered, vaccinated, tested for feline leukemia/FIV, microchipped. Please email cats@desertpawsrescue.org to adopt Runt.
