Pet of the Week: No

Atticus (birthday Valentine’s Day 2011) is a super-sweet male gray tabby with a white chest and boots.  He was born in his foster’s home so he’s had lots and lots of human attention since birth.  He purrs the instant he sees you and doesn’t stop until he falls asleep in your arms or on your lap – after plenty of playtime, that is!  He’s a curious kitten with the energy of a Jack Russell Terrier – everything and everybody he sees is exciting and he wants to investigate and play, but he’s also very gentle and well-behaved.  Life is just a big party to him!  He gets along great with all the cats/kittens in his foster home and loves the cat-friendly dogs.  He is allowed access to the entire house, and has never had an accident.  He’s very good about scratching in the appropriate places (carpeted cat tree with sisal rope, cardboard scratchers) and sits very still when his nails are being trimmed.  Atticus is a totally delightful little guy – his new family will be lucky to have him.  He would love to be adopted with his brother Andy – two kittens are twice as much fun and twice as entertaining!  He has already been neutered, has tested negative for FELV and FIV (feline immune virus), has an identification micro-chip, and is current on his vaccinations. If you are interested in adopting Atticus, please fill out the cat consultation form (on the website www.desertpawsrescue.org) or email hadleyd@cox.net.
