Type: Success Stories
Pet of the Week: No

E.T. has to be one of our greatest success stories.  He was turned into our vets office really scared of people and he had a toilet paper roll stuck around his neck.  It had been there so long that he had open wounds all around his neck.  He was immediately fixed up by our vet and put into foster care for his recovery.  Slowly he learned that humans aren't so bad and really blossomed into a great cat.  We knew it was going to take a special family to adopt this scaredy cat, but we found a great home for him.  Click on his profile to read a note from his new adoptive family.

This is a wonderful cat. He started out hiding in my room under my
bed. I put a litter box in my bathroom, and kept food and water close by.
After 10 days, he would finally come out to eat canned food while I was
sitting by him. After 2 weeks, I took the litter box out of my bathroom and
he started to come to the other side of my house to use the other litter
box
. I have 2 other cats, and they now play together, he sits on the sofa
near me, sometimes sleeping there. He lets me pick him up for brief moments,
and is a beautiful cat. My son loves him, and brushes him. ET loves the
sound of a spoon or fork on a bowl or plate. He is a trash scrounger, so I
keep the food out of the garbage.
He is a joy, and is getting bigger!
