Pet of the Week: No
Angelo is a very handsome gray-tabby-on-white cat. He is 5 years old and came to Desert Paws when his “daddy” decided to give him up because the new girlfriend said “no cats!” Hard to believe – especially since Angelo was obviously a much-loved, very well taken care of cat. We have all his medical records, which include teeth cleanings, fluoride treatments, routine exams and shots, etc. Angelo’s front paws are declawed, but he still enjoys climbing the cat tree to sleep/sit on the highest perch. He gets along with other cats, but would be okay as an only cat since that’s what he’s used to - we just wouldn’t want him to be alone too much of the day. He’s met the cat-friendly dogs in his foster home and will stay in the same room with them, but he keeps a watchful eye. (He’s only been at his foster home for a very short time, so that may change.) Angelo is a big cat at 13 lbs, but he’s not overweight – he’s just a big loveable guy. He’ll let you hold him like a baby and doesn’t mind kisses on his forehead. He enjoys being brushed or just stroked on his head and back. He doesn’t demand attention, but he sure loves it. He’s calm and gentle, and just wants to be near you. (But he still likes to play!) Angelo tested negative for FeLV and FIV, is neutered, micro-chipped, current on vaccines, and front declawed.
