This adorable girl is Honey – isn’t she beautiful! We believe Honey to Black Mouth Cur Dog mix. You can read more about this breed at www.blackmouthcur.com Honey is right around three years old. Honey was originally found as a stray off of the Beeline Highway in Payson. A few days after being found, she gave birth to eight precious puppies! This was way too much to handle for the person that found her, so poor Honey and her babies were taken to the Payson Humane Society. Desert Paws Rescue received word that all the kennels were full up north and they were asking for rescues to help out by taking in any dogs that they could. So, we packed up the truck and rescued Honey and her puppies!
Honey was a very good momma dog but now that she is done raising them, she is ready to find a family to call all her own. Honey is a super sweet and very submissive dog. She gets along with everyone and LOVES to play with other dogs. She would love to share her new home with a doggie brother or sister. With her gentle nature – she should be great with kids too. We are not sure how she reacts to kitties yet. Honey is housetrained and a pretty quiet girl, but can also give a large bark when someone is getting close to the house. Honey sometimes likes to steal shoes or things that are not her own, so she needs that extra attention to remind her of what is hers and what is not. She loves to sleep on her big dog bed but is also crate-trained and doesn’t mind going in there either. Honey will make a great addition to a family………….could you be the one?
